Two eccentric and weird characters present the new show "Dreams in Acapulco". Acrobatics and comedy are presented by the well-known artists Pablo and Mariano. The acrobats exaggerate in your show any action and play with the clichés Latino macho, romance and the Mexican form of wrestling. A unique show between acrobatics and comedy.

The retaining and reviving Egyptian identity is in my ‘Neo-Pharaonic’ iconographic style. By
utilizing Egyptian heritage, I try to place current political issues within the linear trajectory of
Egyptian history. The ruler and the ruled, the oppressor and the oppressed; these persistent
binaries are nowhere more overt and questioned myself on my artworks.
I’m still exploring the dichotomies of popular culture through the mediums of video and
painting for over 30 years. My life in Egypt during a period of continuous political and cultural
change, the transformation of what it means to be from ‘the East’ is a theme that runs
through much of my art. My artworks depict striking juxtapositions of traditional and
contemporary iconography.

In the current political discussion, the term oxymoron is usually used to make falsehoods (lies) and autocratic abuse of power a normal thing. In art, especially in the literary, the term oxymoron has a liberating and subversive meaning. Oxymoron is the belief in doubt, the interest in boredom, the weariness of beauty, the passion for tranquility, the sarcastic sensitivity.

Das Haus International als älteste interkulturelle Einrichtung in Niederbayern feiert im Herbst sein 40-jähriges Jubiläum.
Das Haus International wurde als Initiative 1977 von Studenten, Eltern und Lehrern gegründet.
Die Gründer engagierten sich für die Unterstützung der Bildung von „Gastarbeiterkindern“.
Seit 1981 befindet sich der Sitz des Vereins am Orbankai. Seit 1996 führt der Verein den Namen „Haus International“.
Aus einer ehrenamtlichen Initiative ist mit den Jahrzehnten ein einzigartiges interkulturelles Zentrum in Niederbayern entstanden, für das heute gut 30 angestellte und freie Mitarbeiter tätig sind sowie 130 Ehrenamtliche.
Das Oxymoron entfaltet sich in meinem Kunstwerk: Die
Liebe schafft Leid, aber sie heilt es auch, die Wahrheit erleuchtet, aber sie
weckt auch Zweifel, Körperlichkeit, selbst Geilheit begehrt nach Heiligkeit.
Das Kunstwerk ist wie ein Gesprächspartner, der unser kritisches Bewusstseins
stimulierte und uns anregt, die Wirklichkeit aus verschiedenen Perspektiven zu
analysieren.

Künstler:

Verblüffen, verwandeln und versöhnen will eine Gruppe transkulturell agierender Künstler. In der aktiven Auseinandersetzung mit der Rochuskapelle und deren Freigelände schaffen sie spielerisch durch Skulptur und Installation, Zeichnung, Malerei und Video einen transhistorischen Ort der Begegnung: Für die Integration und die Auseinandersetzung mit dem Alten und Neuen, mit dem Fremden und ganz Anderen wird der Betrachter mit Bildern, Zeichen und Assoziationen in ein transitorisches Feld geführt. Jedes Kunstwerk entzündet ein Licht für eine beherzte Transformation in einer Welt der Ausbeutung, Grenzen und Konflikte.
Das Haus International - Verband für interkulturelle Begegnung, Bildung und Beratung e.V. feiert im November 2017 sein 40-jähriges Bestehen.
Aus einer rein ehrenamtlichen Initiative von Studenten, Eltern und Lehrern ist im Lauf der Jahre eine in Niederbayern einzigartige interkulturelle Einrichtung mit viel Bürgerengagement und vielfältigen Arbeitsfeldern entstanden.
